NBHS hosts CT Lawmakers for Roundtable Discussion

On Monday, March 25, U.S. Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal, joined U.S. Representative Jahana Hayes at New Britain High School for a round table discussion with teachers, students, and school administrators on keeping guns out of classrooms. Earlier this month, Murphy and Hayes introduced legislation to prevent U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos from using federal funds to arm teachers. The lawmakers gathered feedback from students and staff while providing an update on their work in Washington to reduce gun violence.
